Voting underway for phase 1 of 2019 Lok Sabha elections: Highlights

Voting for 91 LS seats in phase 1 of the 7-phase Lok Sabha elections is currently underway in 18 states and two union territories. While the BJP is looking to defend 32 seats it won after the 2014 LS polls, the Congress will be hoping to increase its tally of seven seats. This is phase one of the 7-phase elections.
